The Mahube Roundtable Series

The AWCA Entrepreneurs’ Forum was launched in 2016 with the aim to engage members who have ventured into the world of entrepreneurship. The launch was successful in bringing together leaders in the entrepreneurial landscape in South Africa – captains of industry, thought-leaders, trailblazers and the likes. In 2017, the Entrepreneurs’ Forum partnered with Thebe Investment Corporation and Kaya FM to present the Mahube Round Table Series aimed at engaging the challenges that entrepreneurs face as well as creating a platform for generating solutions through relevant stakeholders. Mahube, meaning “A New Dawn” in Setswana, refers to the early morning start of the round table discussions as well as the advent of entrepreneurship as a key lever towards delivering the economic gains of a young democracy. The first of four round table engagements took place in 2017 and was a resounding success.
