Event Description

In today’s world where strategy, business models and capabilities are continually being challenged, filling knowledge gaps is not enough. Organizations and their leaders need to adapt rapidly. We build customised solutions grounded in your business context so that leaders can acquire not just new knowledge, but also new behaviors and mindsets to move the organization forward fast. Female leaders in Africa face an especially difficult challenge. While women make up 45% of the African workforce, they account for only 21.9% of directorship positions and only 2.9% of chief executives are women.

Education is key to increasing the influence and number of women in leadership positions, both in Africa and worldwide.Duke Corporate Education (Duke CE) is committed to empowering female leaders in Africa, and across the world. Sharmla Chetty, Duke CE’s Global Director of Europe and Africa, created the Duke CE Women Leading Africa “Board Leadership-Voices of the Future” initiative which contributes to the upskilling of women leaders on the continent.
