Nirakasha is a qualified Chartered Accountant and currently the Financial Director of the South African Container Depots (SACD) - a subsidiary of the Bidfreight Division of Bidvest. She was previously the Finance Manager of Bidvest Tank Terminals also within the Bidfreight Division of Bidvest. She is the Deputy Chairperson of the KwaZulu-Natal region of the African Women’s Chartered Accountants (AWCA) as well as a member of the Accountancy Profession Education and Transformation Committee (APTEC), a subcommittee of The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). She also serves as a member of SAICA YCAN Eastern Region committee. In 2016, she was nominated and was a finalist in the SAICA top 35 under 35. Nirakasha is passionate about developing young leaders in the business world and in their communities. Her active involvement in AWCA as well as SAICA has resulted in extensive school visits as well as University symposiums and CSI initiatives. She fully embraces any opportunity at work or other platforms to teach, develop and sponsor the youth whilst transforming the economic landscape of our country.
